I recently completed a course on AI and its applications, and I have to admit—I’m fascinated! Watching the evolution of tools like ChatGPT and other AI-driven apps has been incredible. The pace of innovation is almost dizzying, and there’s this constant push to learn and integrate these tools into our lives.
As someone who loves to write, I’ve found AI helpful for tweaking and refining my content. But I often wonder: How are others using this technology? While its potential is groundbreaking, I can’t ignore my concern that relying too heavily on AI might diminish our natural creativity and problem-solving skills.
In my years of working in wellness, I’ve already seen the toll technology has taken on people—lack of movement, chronic pain from hours of sitting, and declining social skills, to name a few. These are issues we can’t afford to ignore.
That’s why I want to encourage a more intentional relationship with technology. For example, I used to wear an Apple Watch, but I let it go because I realized it was pulling my attention away from my body’s natural signals. Gadgets can be useful, but they often come at a cost: our awareness, focus, and intuition.
Here’s something to consider:
Technology has undeniably brought us incredible advancements in health, education, and more. But let’s not forget where it all started: with human creativity, intelligence, and spirit.
To truly thrive in this digital age, we must balance the gifts of technology with nurturing our mind, body, and soul. After all, these are the foundations of who we are and the keys to living meaningful, fulfilling lives.
How are you balancing technology with intentional living? Share your thoughts—I’d love to hear!
