From Pressure to Presence: Reframing Growth on My Own Terms

Challenges are something I crave.
They stretch me.
They pull me into parts of myself I didn’t even know were there.
They’re like meeting someone new — full of mystery, insight, and the unexpected.

There’s a curiosity that comes alive in me when I'm asked to stretch.
A desire to understand, to go deeper, to unravel and reframe.
It’s not just about overcoming — it’s about evolving.

But I’ve also come face to face with something difficult and deeply personal:
This hunger to “do well,” to “be great,” to impress — it can become a trap.
What started as healthy motivation quickly became performance.
And performance became a mask.

The Lie of Mastery

Society often measures us by how good we are — not how whole we are.
I’ve felt the pressure to master something before I’ve even had time to be curious.
The desire to be exceptional, to avoid failure, to be seen as capable — it’s exhausting.

That pressure has given me a serious case of imposter syndrome.
And if I’m honest, it’s made me want to give up at times.
Not because I don’t love what I’m doing, but because I feel like I have to be someone else to do it.

But here’s the shift that changed everything for me:

Being “good” is not the point. Being present is.

Reframing the Journey

I had to reframe my learning — not as a race to mastery, but as an invitation to engage with myself differently.

Now, I ask:

  • What part of me is showing up in this discomfort?
  • How can I move through this with care instead of critique?
  • What does it look like to bring my whole self — not just the polished parts — into this moment?

This change has helped me discover a more authentic way of being.
It’s helped me slow down, listen in, and connect from a place of truth instead of performance.
And that’s what I want to offer to others.

Move with Mysti: A New Season Begins

Starting in July, the Move with Mysti Membership is shifting into something even more intentional.
We're slowing down — on purpose.
We're creating space to move, feel, and reflect — together.

Here’s what’s new:

🧘🏽‍♀️ Wednesdays: Meditation & Movement Class (Live Weekly)
A blend of mindful movement and grounding meditation to reset your nervous system and realign with your body.

💗 One Sunday Each Month: The Intention Circle (NEW)
A live, heart-centered emotional support session — where we’ll gather in community, hold space for reflection, and explore themes like letting go, reclaiming worth, and finding balance. These sessions are deeply inspired by the community work I led in-person in Bangkok — and now they’re open to all members, no matter where you are in the world.

🎥 Full Library of On-Demand Classes
Revisit past movement & meditation sessions anytime you need a reset.

💡 Intention Sessions (Starting in July)
I’ll also be offering 1:1 Intention Sessions for those craving more personal support, clarity, or transformation. These are powerful 45-minute sessions designed to help you pause, reflect, and reconnect to what matters most.

Let This Be Your Turning Point

If you’ve been craving a more grounded, more real way to care for yourself —
If you’re tired of striving and ready to start becoming —
If you want to connect, move, feel, and grow in a space where you don’t have to be perfect —
I hope you’ll join us.

This is a space for wholeness. For honesty. For reclaiming your rhythm.

Let’s grow together — not for mastery, but for meaning.

Join the membership. Book a session. Or just reach out and say hello.

Because you don’t have to do it all.
But you do deserve to do it on your own terms.

Having real, effective conversations requires clarity. Communication without direction is like wandering without a map—unfocused and unproductive. Approaching conversations with a clear goal in mind ensures that interactions are purposeful, prevents misunderstandings, and builds stronger relationships. Whether it’s in personal connections, workplace discussions, or even interactions with healthcare providers, effective communication is key to positive outcomes.

For me, wellness has never been about dictating what people should do. It’s about engaging people in their own wellness journey. True well-being isn’t about following a strict set of rules—it’s about discovering what works for you, learning how to listen to your body, and cultivating habits that align with your values and lifestyle.

Culture Matters: Why Learning & Respecting Culture is Essential Imagine a world where every traveler took the time to truly understand a country’s history, traditions, and language before visiting. A world where cultural respect wasn’t optional—but a necessity. Growing up, I was taught that European history was the pinnacle of civilization, while other cultures were mere footnotes. That perspective shaped the way many of us see the world. But moving to Thailand opened my eyes. It made me realize how often people travel without truly seeing, without truly learning. Culture isn’t just a backdrop—it shapes identity, self-esteem, and human connection. Yet, many arrive in foreign lands with little interest in learning the customs or history, taking without giving back. In my latest article, I explore why deep cultural understanding should be a priority—not an afterthought. Because when we honor culture, we honor people.

The Age of "Alone Together" Technology has fundamentally altered how we connect. We’ve become accustomed to a new way of being: 🔹 Alone together. Surrounded by people, yet disconnected. 🔹 Efficiency over depth. Human relationships are messy, emotional, and time-consuming—technology strips away the complexity. 🔹 Constant demand for instant responses. Reflection and thoughtful conversations are now considered a weakness.

Movement is so much more than what we have been programmed to believe. It is the healing source of our bodies. We are meant to move our bodies. We are meant to celebrate our bodies. Most importantly we are meant to take care of our bodies through movement.
